Canada Introduces Faster International Airport Transit Process: What Travellers Need to Know in 2026 Canada has introduced a significant improvement for international air travellers by simplifying the transit process at three of the country’s busiest airports. Eligible passengers connecting from one international flight to another can now bypass traditional border screening procedures at Toronto Pearson International Airport (Terminal 1) , Vancouver International Airport , and MontrĂ©al–Trudeau International Airport . This new initiative, announced by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) , is designed to make international travel through Canada faster, more convenient, and more efficient.
